Aya Koga
Ms. Aya Koga started calligraphy at the age of six. She was awarded Yomiuri Newspaper Calligraphy Prize when she was a student. She holds second level calligraphy license from Official Calligraphy Association of Japan. She studied Economics and received a M.A. from Osaka University in Japan.

Chihiro Legris
Ms. Legris has a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Over the last 22 years, she has taught at various high schools in San Antonio, including St. Mary's Hall and Incarnate Word High School. Currently she is an instructor in Japanese language at the University of the Incarnate Word and St. Anthony Catholic High School.

Kimiyo Maruo
Ms. Kimiyo Maruo studied British and American literature at Kyoto Koka Women’s University in Kyoto, Japan and earned B.A. She has a teacher’s license and taught English at public junior high schools in Japan. She studied psychology at the Austin Community College and graduated in spring 2016. She has three children and has read thousands of books to them in English and Japanese. Japanese visual arts, antiques, and traveling to historic sites are some of her interests.

Kenichi Ono
MKenichi Ono holds biology (B.S., M.S., PhD) from Hokkaido University in Japan and worked globally for R & D of Oncology field. He has experience in teaching Japanese as a private tutor for elementary school students who are interested in Japanese culture. He has practiced Kyu-do, Japanese archery and enjoys Igo or Go game, painting (Sumi-e, water color, pastel), and gardening.

Maeri Megumi
Maeri Megumi holds M.A. degrees in Linguisstics, Japanese Language Pedagogy, and East Asian Languages and Cultures from University of Iowa, University of Southern Californa, and University of Texas at Austin, and Ph.D degree in Asian Cultures and Languages. Her B.A. in Asian Cultures and Languages was received from University of Queensland and Japan Women's University in Tokyo. She has taught Japanese at the University of Texas at Autin and is currently teaching Japanese at St. Edwards University.
