Printer-friendly versionSend by email

The mini-workshop offers the beginning students of Japanese the opportunity to master quickly and efficiently the reading and writing of the two Japanese syllabaries, hiragana and katakana. It is these two writing systems, in combination with the more complex kanji  (ideograms which represent meaning), which constitute the written Japanese language.

Hiragana and Katakana Workshop:   Sunday,  6/16/2013   9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Registration deadline: 6/13/2013

Location:  Murchison Middle School
3700 North Hills Dr. Austin, TX 78731 [map]

We recommend that the participants who are taking Japanese Beginning I/II in Summer 2013 and/or plan to take Japanese Beginning I or II class in Fall 2013 purchase Kana Workbook (rev. 3rd Ed.) along with the textbook "Japanese for Busy People" (JBP), (Vol 1, Rev. 3rd Ed).  The handout will be prepared for the workshop.

The Hiragana and katakana workshops are taught by Ms. Sachiko Suga, who has been teaching the JASGA Beginning series, Intermediate, and Pre-Advanced classes in Spring/Summer 2013.
