Shodo is a the Japanese traditional art of calligraphy using a brush (fude) and charcoal ink (sumi) on paper, wood plaques, and fabric. Shodo originated in the techniques used for letter writing with its unique form of expression and developed into an art genre.
- A hands-on class teaching the Shodo techniques of writing Japanese Hiragana and Kanji
This course is a great accompaniment to all of our Japanese Language Classes and the Hiragana Workshop.
$120.00 for JASGA members
Required MATERIALS: The material fee is not included. The instructor will send out a supply list prior to the class.
