Origami card making workshop |
Megumi Sakurai has been teaching origami at numerous schools, libraries, children’s hospitals, and nursing homes for 30 years. She will teach the participants how to make special greeting cards for all occasions. You will learn three different patterns of Origami and make your own cards. The paper to be used is a Japanese hand-made paper called "Washi".
She recently became a member of the British Origami Society and found that a great many people are attached to and devoting their time to "folding paper". Their origami skills and creativity are at the level of a professional artist. They not only love to fold paper, but also have strong interests in all kinds of papers, their textures, qualities, and colors.
Ms. Sakurai finds herself that Origami allows her to be fulfilled in her mind, and she aspires to fold Japanese paper (Washi) until the end of her days.
