Japanese Government Delegation Visits Austin
Austin, TX - From June 15-18, a delegation led by Ambassador Yasuo Saito, former Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Russia and France, and former Consul-General in Atlanta, GA, will be visiting Austin in order to enhance mutual understanding between Japan and the United States through grassroots exchanges.
The delegation will be dispatched on the program Walk in U.S., Talk on Japan organized by the Prime Minister’s Office of Japan. The purpose of the program is to deepen the American people’s understanding of Japan by introducing Japan’s strength and attractions through exchanges of views with people in cities across the U.S. The delegation consists of members representing a variety of backgrounds. 
While in Austin, the delegation will participate in many different events; including a visit to the Texas State Capitol, Austin City Hall, the Asian American Resource Center, St. Edward’s University, the University of Texas at Austin, and more.

The Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Asian American Resource Center host a luncheon discussion about the Japanese economy, existing business climate and international trade opportunities. Free, lunch provided. Must register by June 12 to be served lunch. Registration: www.austinasianchamber.org

Informal reception followed by question and answer session led by the Japan delegation.
Free. Refreshments provided. No registration necessary.
