Shodo is Japanese traditional art of calligraphy using a brush (fude) and charcoal ink (sumi) on paper, wood plaques, and fabric. It includes Japanese Kanji and hiragana. The Shodo - Japanese Calligraphy class is offered to two different levels of students..
The goal for Shodo II /III is to master advanced strokes and styles of Japanese Calligraphy. Also, students will be expected to write well-balanced Shodo and to explain their own works.
