A Cookbook - An Illustrated Talk (with vegan nibbles)

As Japanese Cultural Salon Series of 2012, JASGA will present a Cookbook Event
- An Illustrated Talk (with vegan nibbles) by Elizabeth Andoh on February 27th.

The Japan-America Society of Greater Austin is pleased to host an evening with Elizabeth Andoh, author of KIBŌ Brimming with Hope: Recipes & Stories from Japan’s Tohoku. The book, a culinary tribute to the region devastated by earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident on March 11, 2011, will be for sale at the event. Both Ms. Andoh and her publisher Ten Speed Press, a Crown imprint of Random House, have pledged a portion of the proceeds to Japan’s recovery efforts.

A (vegan) selection of Tohoku fare featured in Ms. Andoh’s book and prepared by her with the assistance of The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts will be served immediately following Ms. Andoh’s slide-illustrated talk.
