Bamboo Logic presents "Bamboo: Know Your Enemy; Love Your Enemy" on Saturday, June 9, 2007, from 10:00 am to 12 noon at Casa de Luz, 1701 Toomey Road.  $10 Call 350-8505 for details. 

During the first hour we will discuss bamboo horticulture (parts, nomenclature, and growth habits), the myriad of landscape applications, installation and maintenance, and (oc course) problem solving (containment and non-chemical erradication). 

 During the second hour, attendees will observe the 6 species of bamboo on Casa de Luz premises before heading 2 blocks away to the Town Lake bamboo grove (for which the Instructor is Caretaker) to get some "hands-on" experience in the grove.  Tools, sunscreen, and bug-spray provided; bring work-glove and water, dress protectively but lightly.  Call 350-8505 for further details.
