Please join us if you can this coming Tuesday evening for a fabulous presentation on ukiyo-e, the Japanese art of woodblock printing, by Austin artist Daryl Howard. This presentation was originally scheduled for January but was cancelled due to the ice storms.
Daryl's presentation on "A Westerner's View of Contemporary and Traditional Ukiyoe" takes place on Tuesday, May 29th, from 6:00 pm to 8:15 pm in the meeting room of the Yarborough Library, 2200 Hancock Road. Daryl studied ukiyoe in Japan and will share her knowledge of this art, as well as antique prints from her own collection and some of her own work as well. As always, green tea, rice crackers, and sweet mochi will be served.
