2012 IFAF UNDER-19 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF AMERICAN FOOTBALL

The schedule and seeds for the 2012 IFAF Under-19 World Championship of American football to be played at Burger Stadium in Austin, Texas from Saturday, June 30, to Saturday, July 7, have been announced. The tournament returns to the United States this summer featuring the national teams of American Samoa, Austria, Canada, France, Japan, Panama, Sweden and the United States. Multi-game ticket options are now available at: http://u19wc-jasga.eventbrite.com The United States begins the defense of its title won in Canton, Ohio, in 2009 against a team making its tournament debut, American Samoa, who beat Australia 93-7 to qualify for the event. 2012 IFAF Under-19 World Championship Schedule Saturday, June 30 (all games at Burger Stadium) Tuesday, July 3 Wednesday, July 4 Friday, July 6 Saturday, July 7 Friends of the Japan-America Society of Greater Austin (JASGA) We are happy to announce our marketing partnership with USA Football for this summer’s 2012 IFAF Under-19 World Championship in Austin, TX. USA Football is a non-profit organization and is the national governing body for the sport of football in the United States. Their organization is also the official youth football development partner of the NFL and the NFL Players Association. The U-19 World Championship hosted by USA Football, brings together eight teams of high school-age players representing four continents in a celebration of the sport through competition and cultural exchange. The eight-day tournament culminates in a gold-medal championship game.
